General Awards

Nominees may be CAI members or non-members serving in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Community Association Volunteer Leaders (Homeowners, Board Members and other Community Leaders)
  2. Community Managers (Portfolio, Resident, or Office Managers)
  3. Management Companies
  4. Business Partners

Rookie of the Year Award

Recognition is given to an individual with fewer than two years experience in the management industry who has displayed exceptional abilities either generally or on a specific project. Provide details that reflect the individual’s significant accomplishments.

Above and Beyond Award

Recognition is given to an individual for substantive achievement who has performed tasks, services or humanitarian efforts above and beyond a typical job description. Nominations for this award might be made for individuals who have improved quality of life for a community, exhibited ‘”grace under pressure”, helped others in a particularly kind and understanding manner, etc.

Community Management Professional Award

Nominees for these awards may include any community management professional, excluding managers.

Community Management Professional Award

Recognition is given to a community management professional who displays integrity; reliability; commitment to the industry; loyalty to consumer clients and the ability to interact well with board members, managers, service providers and other industry professionals. Promotion of ethical conduct and competence are included as part of the qualifications for this award.

Community Manager Awards

Nominees for these awards will include community managers.

Excellence in Service Award

Recognition is given to a manager who displays integrity; reliability; commitment to the industry; loyalty to consumer clients and the ability to interact well with board members, managers, service providers and other industry professionals. Promotion of ethical conduct and competence are included as part of the qualifications for this award.

Financial Impact Award

Recognition is given to a manager who has positively impacted a community in a significant manner from a financial standpoint. For example: budget management, capital improvement management, warranty and insurance claim management, etc.

Business Partner Awards

Nominees for these awards will include business partners that provide services to community associations and management companies.

Business Partner Community Impact Award

Recognition is given to a business partner/service provider who has positively impacted a community in a significant manner for one individual event. For example: community maintenance, finance, legal, insurance, restoration, community enhancement, etc.

Business Partner Excellence in Service Award

Recognition is given to a business partner/service provider who displays integrity; reliability; commitment to the industry; loyalty to consumer clients and the ability to interact well with board members, managers, other service providers and other industry professionals. Promotion of ethical conduct and competence are included as part of the qualifications for this award.

Association Awards

Outstanding Community-Building
by an Association

Recognizes an association that does an outstanding job at community resourcefulness, has a strong sense of commitment to enhancing the neighborhood, and recognizes and uses the strengths of its individuals within the association.

Association of the Year

Recognizes the outstanding team effort of an association board of directors and homeowners whose members clearly understand their roles and fiduciary responsibilities putting the association’s interest ahead of and above all personal agendas. A board comprised of effective volunteer leaders who are fair, responsible and reasonable in their decisions.

CAI-MN Chapter Awards

The CAI-MN Chapter Awards are presented only in special circumstances at the discretion of the CAI-MN Board of Directors. These awards may not be awarded on an Annual basis. If a member is aware of a CAI-MN member deserving consideration for either of these awards, please contact a member of the Board of Directors. View Board of Directors

Outstanding CAI-MN Chapter Volunteer

This award is presented to a CAI-MN member who has contributed extraordinary service and time to the growth and development of the CAI-MN Chapter. The nominee must have committed significant time, talent and/or resources to the achievement of programs to advance CAI-MN Chapter goals during the previous year. Examples include: Committee members/chairs, Board members, Instructors, contributor to magazine, etc.

Lifetime Achievement

Created to honor those members of CAI-MN who have provided a superior commitment to the advancement of the Chapter and the Community Management Industry through leadership, service and dedication to the mission of CAI. It is awarded only in special instances to recognize individuals whose conduct and professionalism model the ideals of the industry. Inductees have contributed substantially to the growth and perpetuation of the Chapter through their individual efforts.
