As part of the Charitable Outreach Committee, Nominee devoted extra time and commitment to design and create the theme and the flyer of the nation's first ever charitable outreach event.

What were the measurable benefits from this accomplishment? Examples include large capital improvements, savings to the association, etc. Please include any recognition you received from a board, homeowners, and developers, if applicable.

As a result of Nominee's efforts, the charitable outreach committee was able to promote and execute a great first time event that had a positive impact within the CAI-MN community as well as the larger Twin Cities Community by raising significant funding for Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge.

Was there anything about the accomplishment(s) that exceeded the normal course of everyday responsibilities/services?

Nominee's commitment and vision for the event's theme as well as her time invested in designing and creating the promotional materials was 100% volunteer and above and beyond her normal daily responsibilities as a portfolio manager.

Why does this individual deserve recognition? Please include any additional considerations.

Although Nominee serves in a high level leadership capacity with one of the premier management companies in the state of Minnesota, she is a humble leader focused on serving others. Nominee's willingness to assume additional responsibilities to help ensure a highly successful first time charitable outreach event, is worthy of recognition by CAI-MN. It is an honor to nominate Nominee for the Above and Beyond CAI-MN Vision Award!

Describe the accomplishment(s) related to the award category and include the activities that lead up to the accomplishment(s). Please include the actual and measurable results achieved.

Nominee has been the resident Manager at this association since March, 2012. I first met Nominee through his parents that were the previous managers at this property. Nominee's father passed away and his mother continued as the resident manager until she retired in 2012. Nominee applied for her position and since I was already familiar with Nominee and was aware of his background and work ethic, he was hired as his mother's replacement. A true family affair.

What were the measurable benefits from this accomplishment? Examples include large capital improvements, savings to the association, etc. Please include any recognition you received from a board, homeowners, and developers, if applicable.

Nominee not only embraces his resident manager duties but tends to go the extra mile on everything that he touches. His follow through on his regular duties is admirable and he enjoys assisting both management and residents whenever he can. He is firm but kind and understanding with the residents of the building and the residents know that they can count on him when necessary.

Was there anything about the accomplishment(s) that exceeded the normal course of everyday responsibilities/services?

Nominee takes on other responsibilities that go above and beyond his resident manager duties. He is always finding ways to find a better or more cost efficient way to handle any type of situation from light bulbs, flooring, plumbing repairs to security systems. He is aware that the Association is on a tight budget and he does everything he can to help keep costs down. and has reduced the maintenance and materials costs of the Association by thousands of dollars over the past 2 years.

Nominee is a great example of someone who is willing to take on responsibilities and projects even though they are not part of his job description.. Because of his commitment to the Association and willingness go the extra mile, residents and management alike benefit from his dedicated service.

Describe the accomplishment(s) related to the award category and include the activities that lead up to the accomplishment(s). Please include the actual and measurable results achieved.

Nominee went "above and beyond" as chair of the CAI Minnesota Legislative Action Committee during the 2014 legislative session.

What were the measurable benefits from this accomplishment? Examples include large capital improvements, savings to the association, etc. Please include any recognition you received from a board, homeowners, and developers, if applicable.

Under Nominee's leadership, the CAI-MN Legislative Action Committee successfully opposed bills that would limit community associations' authority to regulate solar systems, and bills that would require associations to participate in foreclosure mediation to protect or enforce association liens.

Was there anything about the accomplishment(s) that exceeded the normal course of everyday responsibilities/services?

Nominee volunteered significant time and effort to protect the interests of community associations at the Capitol. He went beyond the requirements of chairing the committee to conduct additional research, propose strategy and participate in the committee's efforts, and attend the annual conference of CAI.

Nominee has been a key member of the MN Legislative Action Committee for many years, and his diligent service has benefited all community associations in Minnesota.
